Green Earth Organics (GEO) was founded by Daniel Henry and William O'Dowd in June of 1998. GEO had very humble beginnings, delivering to 7 friends and neighbours our first week. By December we were able to move our operations out of the basement of our home and into a warehouse in East Vancouver. In October 2000, GEO opened its second branch in Toronto. We later decided to split the company in two; William now owns Green Earth Toronto and Daniel owns GEO Vancouver.
Like our produce, our business principles are clean and simple. We are committed to offering our customers a convenient and affordable service, healthy food choices and socially responsible business practices rooted in local communities, while contributing to a greener, cleaner environment.
Social responsibility is the cornerstone of the organic and natural food movement. Many of the social and environmental problems of our planet are due to poor business principles. We at GEO believe that small businesses are in a great position to address social and environmental issues in creative and meaningful ways.
GEO donates up to 10% of its profits to like-minded, non-profit organizations that serve the local community and the environment. Over the years GEO has had the privilege of supporting dozens of worthy causes and hundreds of organic farmers.
Health and environment are at the core of our belief, our product, and our vision. We believe that it is the right of consumers to have a convenient and healthy organic alternative, but never at the expense or the resources of our planet.
Green Earth Organics only sells 100% Certified Organic fruit, vegetables and grocery items.
