How do I sign up for deliveries from Green Earth Organics?

Is there a delivery charge?

There is no charge for delivery but we do charge a one-time refundable bin deposit of $20 on the first delivery. We use Rubbermaid bins for our deliveries - they are animal proof and they wash up easily. The bin deposit is charged to ensure we get our bins back if a member moves or cancels our service and doesn't return their bin. We also need two bins for every customer, the one they have plus the one we need to pack for their upcoming delivery.

How often do I have to get deliveries?

Most of our customers receive deliveries every week but you can also choose to receive it every two weeks (bi-weekly).

When can I make changes to my order?

Members can make changes to their orders up to 9 am the day before their delivery.

When do you update the site for my next delivery?

We update our website by 5 pm on Thursdays for the upcoming week. Changes to your order can be made anytime from 5 pm Thursday to 9 am the day before your delivery.

What if I am going on holiday or need to put my delivery on hold?

Once you are logged into your account you can go into the delivery schedule section and place your delivery on hold. You can always call us at 604.708.2345 or email us at info@greenearthorganics.com if that's more convenient.

What is the minimum order?

We have 3 bins to choose from:

  • Small Bin - $27.00
  • Medium Bin - $35.00
  • Large Bin - $46.00
If you are a custom bin customer the minimum order for delivery is $35.00, due to the cost of the extra labour in packing a custom order.

When do you deliver?

We deliver between 2 pm and 9 pm, Monday through Friday. We are in most areas only one day per week. To find out your delivery day click here.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?

No you do not have to be home to receive your delivery. We do love to catch you at home for your first delivery so that you can meet your delivery driver. We will leave your delivery at your door or in an area that you specify

Do you buy local produce?

We buy local produce whenever possible. Although we sometimes include tropical items like mangoes, you always have the option to choose what items you receive in your bin.

How do I pay for my delivery?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, or you can give us a voided cheque for direct deposit from your bank account. Visa and MasterCard are charged on the day of your delivery; the direct deposits are processed every second Friday.

What is a "standing order"?

If you decide to receive any of our grocery items with every delivery you will receive 5% off the listed price. Once you have set up an account you will notice a link along the left side of your screen that says "Standing Orders". You can use this link to add items to your bin that you want included with every delivery. Once you have added an item to your standing order list you will see the new price of that item with your 5% discount.

Do you deliver to apartment buildings?

We do deliver successfully to apartment buildings every day. There are a few options for apartment deliveries:

  • You get us a copy of your main entrance key and we will leave your delivery outside your apartment door. These keys are kept in a secure place with a special code on them to ensure security.
  • You give us a 2-hour window between 2 pm and 9 pm on your delivery day that you will be home to receive your delivery.
  • You give us the buzz codes of friends, building managers or caretakers in the building that will let us in if you aren't home or encourage other people in the building to get delivery making it more likely that we will get access to your building.
  • We can leave your groceries in a secure location of your choosing outside of your building or have it delivered to your office.

What if I am unsatisfied with an item that I receive?

We guarantee everything that we deliver so if you are ever unsatisfied with any of the products you receive from Green Earth Organics please let us know and we will happily replace it.

What if I am allergic to something or never want it in my bin?

You always have the option to choose what items you receive in your bin. Once you have created an account you can enter the items you never want to receive under the "Your Dislikes" link. You will see this link on the left side of the "Your Account" page, which appears after you have successfully signed up for the service.

How do I change my bin size, delivery address or cancel a standing order?

You can contact us by phone at 604.708.2345 or email info@greenearthorganics.com by 9am the day before your delivery to change your bin size, change your delivery address or cancel your standing order.

Do you have a storefront? Can I pick-up my delivery?

We don't have a retail store, but we consider our website to be our storefront. One of the main goals of GEO is to make your life easier and one way we can do this is by bringing the store to you. All it takes for you to do all of your shopping with GEO is spending a few minutes on our site. We will deliver all your groceries to you, no more looking for parking or waiting in long store lineups. If you so choose to pick-up your order contact the office and make arrangements with one of our helpful customer service representatives.

How does your company work? What happens to make my order?

At 6:30 am every morning, our warehouse staff arrives to wash all the bins and receive the fresh produce from our suppliers and local farmers. Using the paperwork that the office staff created the day before, they pack all the day's orders. Our delivery drivers arrive by 1 pm. They check all the orders and load up their vans. If we are ever out of stock of any item, the drivers will attempt to purchase it from a nearby store, then they head from home to home, making deliveries. In the meantime, the office staff processes payments, respond to inquiries, and starts preparing the paperwork for the next days deliveries.

Can I get all-fruit or all-vegetable delivery?

You can choose whatever combination of fruit, vegetable, and/or grocery items you prefer. If you only want fruit, then that's all you will get.

Do you deliver to offices? I'd like to get organic fruit in for my staff. Can you help?

Do you deliver on statutory holidays?

Yes, we do deliver on statutory holidays. The only exception to this is that we close for a week during Christmas and New Years. All members are notified well in advance of the dates we close over Christmas.
